An Event to honor Nicha Vasquez

This year the Vasquez Family will be honoring the Late Nicha Vasquez with an event at Vacaville’s historic Buck Mansion on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Fiesta Days and the El Rancho Vasquez Float was Nicha’s passion. Together with her sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren, Nicha would work tirelessly each and every year to bring her family’s heritage to the pageantry that was the Vacaville Fiesta Days Parade. Last year she passed away after a long batter with diabetes. To honor her, the Vasquez Family has planned an evening dinner following the Fiesta Days Parade. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Diabetes Associations Tour de Cure this year. It is our hope that this will become an annual event that will not only add to but raise the level of events that occur during the week of Fiesta Days in Vacaville. The Vasquez Family has been active in Fiesta Days and this event will definitely be an event to attend. Utilizing the talents at Vasquez Deli, Tableaux Event Rental and Made in the Shade, all owned by Vasquez’s, the grounds of Buck Mansion will be transformed into El Rancho Vasquez complete with Mariachi entertainment and delicious Mexican styled food.
